Founded in 2000, Halski Systems provides various IT solutions that are secure and efficient. They now have three major locations and two data centers. The company has various certifications and accolades including Business of the Month Award and Best of North Georgia 2017.
The Issue
Halski Systems needed a website that was easier to manage from the backend. In addition, they also wanted an updated look with a design that was more engaging and functionality that was more user-friendly.
Our Solution
With design plans from Marbury Creative Group, Sevaa implemented the redesign and completed the website’s conversion to WordPress. We provided a simpler backend with a focused overhaul of content storage from their old system.
Our development team created the backend site functionality based on the new design layouts. With the use of Roots Bedrock WordPress boilerplate and the Sage starter theme, the development team laid a concrete, modern, and complete foundation for the WordPress site.
Our lead developer, Dan, began building the site’s architecture. He coded everything from the animated graphic on the homepage to the sidebar menus. They also incorporated important modules including Advanced Custom Fields, which Sevaa uses to promote consistent content entry on WordPress sites.
Once the architecture was in place, our lead developer created custom menus, headers, and content displays across the site, making sure to adhere to the designs laid out by Marbury Creative Group. In cases where design plans were open to broad interpretation, our development lead and project management team sought the feedback of both the designers and the client to come to a decision. This focus on collaboration helped produce a website with a strong architectural backbone that the client appreciates.
The Results
The client now has more control over their website in large part to making the move to WordPress as well as the implementation of fields and post types on the backend. Visitors are now greeted with a vivid design that is engaging, easy to navigate, and responsive.
